Absolutely! Think of the days before we had internet, this is how business was done. It's just that now because of the power of the internet we are able to reach people in other areas of the world. My first two people where folks I know in person and I have invited other people I know as well.
Don't limit yourself to only getting people online. There are countless ways you can find people in your area. The Gift Cards are an excellent way to bring PRM's and they can become PSA's also. Get people interested in what you do, strike up conversations with people where ever you go. Don't come across like you are trying to sell them something, have the attitude that you are going to help them and you have the answer for their financial needs and retirement.
