There are no rules in SFI about how often you should contact your sponsor, because there are no two people (Sponsors and Co-Sponsors, or PSAs and CSAs) alike!
You can, and you should contact them as often as you have a question or a problem you need help with. Of course, there are a lot of questions answered in SFI, but it's difficult to know where to find them when you are new, and your upline can help. When they help you or praise you, you can thank them. (although this might go without saying)
But I wouldn't spend a lot of time on thinking HOW OFTEN, because the reason there are Sponsors and Co-Sponsors in the first place is to support you RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS. So, focus on building your online business, and feel free to address the problems when they arise, either by contacting your Sponsor and Co-Sponsor, or by searching for an answer elsewhere on SFI.
