I would answer: as often as you need!
For sure, in the beginning is more often, while you are newbie, and all is new,
than, as you grow up a bit, with experience and knowledge about your job,it will be less and less, but still regularly.
Still, it's up to you. It's depends on that what kind of relationship you already have with you Sponsor.
Don't forget the fact that your Sponsor can follow your work and see all you do, but still if you need some help, you need to ask. Be free to ask, that's why sponsor is there, and whole your upline.
