What I do, and what I recommend to other SFI affiliates, is both: I use recommended marketing methods to personally sponsor new affiliates, AND I buy guaranteed SFI sign-ups from authorized ECAs at TripleClicks.
I buy PSAs because it gets recruits onto my marketing team fast. Even though I try to communicate with them regularly, most do not do the business. A few work at it for a while and then fade away. The odd one sticks with it. But the main thing is that it allows me to plug in a large group of new affiliates quickly and then I can try to work with them.
I work on sponsoring them myself by applying recommended marketing methods because first, it is good experience and good practice, and second, you may have a greater success rate with the ones you personally sponsor yourself. They feel more connected to you.
I use free and paid advertising.
I post blog posts on my marketing website regularly, highlighting both SFI and TripleClicks. Every time I post a new post, I then share it on a variety of social marketing sites.
I participate in online business and marketing forums and I include links to my website and to either SFI or TripleClicks (or both) in my forum signatures.
Those are the main ways I try to get traffic and sponsor new SFI affiliates.
