First of all you should know the criteria to qualify & maintain your Team Leader rank. You need to acquire at least 3000 VP's per month(1500-2000 VP's from sales & 1000-1500 VP's from actions) to be a Team Leader.
The basic purpose of becoming a team leader is to duplicate your efforts & get the matching VP's. To earn matching VP, you must hold the rank of Team Leader, maintain your SFI Leadership Page, and also maintain a minimum 3-star Sponsor Rating (not applicable w/less than 5 ratings).
The best time to qualify as a Team leader is your initial months where you have a whole lot of free action VP's available from different actions. But that's only a onetime opportunity so I'm discussing the general situation.
You can easily get the 1500-2000 VP's through sales but the hard part is the 1000-1500 action VP's. For that you need to have a proper planning in advance & apply it accordingly. Now I'm discussing in details about the qualification process below:
Per month you can acquire somewhere around 500 free VP's through daily, weekly & monthly actions depending upon the no. of days of that month & the no. of weekends present in it.
You should set up a Standing Order of 1500 VP or more(I'd refer 125 Tcredit pack). You'll get an additional 100 action VP's which is very important for the new affiliates & two addition entries in the daily grand.
You should use those TCredits to bid in Pricebenders auctions. Each bid will give you 1 action VP & 5 MRP's(10 MRP's in case of DP auctions). You'll accumulate a lot of MRP's(625-1250) depending upon the type of auction you're bidding in. Now with the help of these MRP's purchase five 1TCredit's. Each 1TCredit will cost you 126 MRP's & you'll get 102 sales VP's for each purchase. So in total you'll be investing 630(126*5) MRP's & you'll be receiving 510(102*5) sales VP's.
Now let's just look back where you've reached till now. You've got 2010(1500 from SO + 510 from 1TCredit purchase) sales VP's(only 2000 will count as that's the upper limit). You've got somewhere around 700 action VP's(from daily, weekly, monthly actions + 100 for SO + 125 from bidding). You're still short of somewhat 300 action VP's. Now this is the most important part & you need to fulfill this deficit by using every possible ways of earning action VP's & TCredits(you can convert them to action VP's through bidding, max 500/month). I'm discussing the different ways of earning action VP's & TCredits below:
# You can get 100, 50 or 25 VP's by submitting most popular/2nd/3rd most popular ASK SC answer.
# Introduce ECA(E-Commerce Associate) & you'll receive 100 VP for each approved/activated ECA. You'll also be getting your commission for each sale made by those ECA's for lifetime.
# You can also win unlimited VP's through DistribuSTAR Daily Drawing, E-365 contest, Daily Grand Contest, 10 VP's per gift card distribution(max 300/month).
I've excluded the action VP's available through Getting Started, Intermediate, Launchpads, reviews because they are only one time opportunities & I'm explaining the generalized view(applicable to all affiliates irrespective of his/her tenure in SFI).
The different ways to acquire TCredits are mentioned below:
