When I first read this question, the word convince troubled me. As I read others responses, I came to realize what was bothering me about the question.
I agree with the majority of answers I have read outlining the benefits of TripleClicks WAVE3 members: monthly free TCredits, MRP, chances to win in weekly drawings and free advertising. This is why I am a WAVE3 member myself.
However, the issue we need to remember is we (SFI) are a global system, with affiliates coming from a variety of background. Many of our affiliates may not have an automobile to be able to participate in the WAVE3 program. So, to them the spending of $2 USD; necessary to sign up in the program to gain access to the benefits would be futile, as they would not be able to complete the application process by sending in a copy of a photo of themselves with the sticker on a vehicle.
True, there are ways around this issue, such as an affiliate could find a family member or friend willing to allow them to place the sticker on their automobile; however, the likelihood of them having a family member or friend with an automobile would be very slim.
This is the reason the word convince troubled me when I first read the question. We need to remember every affiliate's circumstance is different from our own. The best we can do is educate them of the benefits of any SFI program/product (WAVE3, SO, ECA, etc.) and let them make the best decision for them self.
