I'll try to be short and direct, because I know that people don't like to read long articles - they are searching for short and direct answer, not for fairy tail. :)
So, to get back on question: "What encouragement can I give to an affiliate who feels he or she is getting nowhere with SFI?"
1. to get problem solved, first you must find out reason why something became problem.
2. ask your affiliate what's the reason for his or her problem. Why he or she thinks that SFI lead him or her nowhere? What caused that bad thoughts? When he or she started to think that way, after which step?
3. give your affiliate advice. Think what would you do on his or her place? Maybe you had same problem like your affiliate, tell him or her how you solved your problem and how hard for you was reaching problem solution.
4. talk to your affiliate. Be his or her friend, be the person who is ready to help and give advice at any time. People appreciate things like that, people like attention.
5. do your best. Be kind, polite, helpful, gently and try to give best advice. But if your affiliate isn't doing anything to get better after all your advices - give up! There are other people too who need help and maybe they will appreciate your help more.
