Having been a business owner for 20 years I would tell my affiliate(s)that a successful business, regardless of the type, takes time, energy, dedication, and yes 'money'. Building a successful business without investing or thinking that it can be done over night or even in a week just isn't realistic. I would also conduct research on the issue to back up what I would be saying. Encouragement can also be offered in the way of a gift certificate or TCredits but you don't want to make a habit of this as they will come to depend on it. I would also provide some supportive and helpful links along with suggesting the SFI forums. I would and have pointed out the benefits of a standing order for S-Builder Co-op, for example; the number of PSA's that are automatically assigned. This is just one of the reasons why I keep going.
