If he see you are very interested to SFI and your proud to being an SFI member, so he will definitely think of SFI so when he thinks about, then I am sure he will be also like you.
It depends on the level of your relationship with that particular affiliates and accordingly he will looks into your interest from which he can understand.
So you need to prove your interest to SFI so he will keen to know why and for what per pose you are a member of SFI.
Then you need to show him your achievements SFI records.
