I understand how frustrating it can be, because my sponsor totally ignored me after I signed up. I didn't even look at the program until the 26th day! Still, after reading the materials, I was able too make EA in just four days.
Everything is straight-forward and laid out so well, that it is not hard to grasp. Also, I have used the Support folks, forum and A2A friends extensively. If you want a long-term solution to financial freedom, (despite what the government or Wall Street does), you have found it here. Just take it step by step. Learn, Sell, Build a Team, Duplicate - REPEAT. Everything you need is within you and the tools on this site.
When you have your own team, you can use the lessons you learned to be the sponsor you would have liked to have to catapult your team forward ! Invite local Affiliates to lunch and share resources and build a support system of your own. Visit local merchants and talk to them about the ECA program. Pick their brains for ideas, and ask for referrals.
Remember, everything in business is about relationships. If your sponsor did not care to build a relationship with you, he/she is the loser. Go out and show them how it's done!
