Before explaining to this ECA prospect what the E-commerce Associate Program is I suggest you self examine yourself first before you even make the pitch. Do you know what your strengths are verses your weaknesses and are you willing to work on the weak points to maximize on results? Especially if you are directly meeting your prospect prior to the presentation. This is the NO BRAINER method.
TIPS:(First Steps)
Look professional and presentable. It's your business
Dress smart
Give them a firm handshake
Smile. Don't leave it in the pocket
Maintain an eye to eye contact
Your body Language as you communicate matters a lot and lastly
Don't first attempt to sell the product. Sell yourself first. This helps you to build a rapport with your prospect. He/she will be more relaxed talking to you after the little rapport.
Now that you have all of those in place it's now time to make the pitch. Please remember that these are my proven tips and they work.
Please please please don't make it so hard for the prospect by using all the jargon and terminologies of triple clicks. No!
Simply KISS it!- KEEP IT SIMPLE AND SWEET
This method works because people don't have much time to waste. So going around and all the way explaining all that stuff about ECA might not close the deal soonest. consider this an elevator pitch and you only have about at most 5 minutes with this person.
TALK TO THE MERCHANT WITH ENTHUSIASM LIKE THIS:
Hey........ My name is....... and I would like to provide you with more customers to your shop at NO COST TO YOU.
Go ahead and tell them I WILL DO ALL THE WORK FOR YOU.
I will bring you more customers at NO COST at all to you.
Give me a name you would like to call your store online
Ask for 2 Documents (ID, Utility bill etc)
Ask the owner for the hottest selling product and tell him you would like to help him sell more of that at NO COST TO HIM/HER.
Close the merchant and ask if he has any questions about ECA. If he does that means he still has some time and that's were you now start explaining what ECA is all about.

Your goal here is to keep the prospects impulse high. After you close the deal leave the prospect with the desire to want to see or hear from you again.
That's my simple way of doing it but it works like magic.
