If they haven't whitelisted you, you won't likely have access to their actual email account and so if they aren't going into SFI they won't see your messages. I would send out a monthly support message and the rest is up to them.
Focus on the affiliates that are working. Offer them your encouragement and support as they are motivated!
Many people come into SFI expecting something different than what it is. Some people are financially challenged....there can be many reasons. It would be nice if they would just opt out if they aren't interested. Some do this, but most don't.
I never had anyone start earning points after a few months, but have heard that it does happen.
Stay positive and you will get some affiliates who are motivated...it takes time.
