This a challenge that most of us here at SFI face with our down line teams. While it takes time and is involving to achieve, it is possible.
This is How I am doing it!
1. Open Up Your Communication Lines/ USE GENEALOGY!
Yes! Communication with your team is fundamentally important. You should be open to whatever questions they are putting forward and be available to answer them. Use your Genealogy to see how they perform and ask to help those who are struggling.
2. Encourage them to Ask for help
Like it or not I have realized that your team actually needs help and are looking for someone who is available to offer them some genuine help. However I also realized that they will not ask for it easily until you open up to them and officially invite them to ask for it.
3. Offer Quick Response/Feedback
After you open your communication lines to your down line you will realize that they will eventually begin to come out of their shells and communicate with you more often. When they do please don't keep them waiting. Offer them support as soon as you can when asked to do so.
4. Ask Your Up line For an Answer if you don't know How to respond to a qsn
While it is true that it is very difficult to contact your up line and get feed back from them soon or never. It still doesn't stop one from trying. If they don't get back ask an a2a friend. If the a2a friend doesn't have an answer to your question ask another friend or simply submit a support ticket to SFI help Desk. They will get back to you in between 12-24 hours. You can then get back to your down line with the answer.
5. STREAM! Communicate everyday and offer offer TIPS
When you stream helpful information everyday to your team they will be able to see it. You might not get a thank you from any of them yet but trust me I know that they like it. It also helps get them motivated to do the same.
6. Appreciate them
Send them congratulatory messages when they WIN in daily Grands, Price Benders Auctions etc. It wouldn't look great at all if everybody is congratulating your own PSA/CSA and you don't bother to do the same yet you should have been the first to do it in the first place. Tell them you appreciate them and congratulate them.
7. Offer them Incentives/Contests
You could easily motivate your team further by putting up contests and then Incentivise those contests. Say you put up a contest for any one who becomes an EA to win 10 PSA'S. This motivates them. I have tried it and it works. People want help to grow their businesses.
8. Reward those that Truly deserve it Openly
Why I say it's great to do it openly is so that the rest of the guys in the team that did not previously participate would see the importance of being in the contest the next time you run another.
9. Open Or Start A Social Group Hang Out.
There's so many social groups out there that you can make use of. The likes of Face book, LinkedIn, Tweeter etc. My favorites are Skype and the Google Hangouts. Encourage your team to join you on specific days of the week on these hangouts to get to talk about everything but business. Depends on their availability of course and time. It helps you to connect on a more personal level with your team.
