I rarely get a response from my emails or messages, but I have more success by the instant messaging system.
If I'm online and I see that one of my affiliates has a yellow bubble next to them on the genealogy page I always say hi and ask them how they are going and they usually always reply back to me.
I have had fairly inactive affiliates take action after we've talked this way and I've encouraged them personally by making suggestions on what action to take.
This is especially useful for new affiliates who can be somewhat overwhelmed at first.
They are much more likely to talk to you in future after this initial contact.
