It really a matter of choice which advertising you want to use and the amount of funs you have at your disposal.

The goal of all advertising is to get your name out there. And when it's free, it's even better. You can use free advertising to showcase your knowledge about a product. If you are simply putting free ads on a website, you have limited space to show how your business can help customers.
Depending on the type of free advertising you are receiving, you can hit the audience you are targeting with your business.
Paid Advertising:
The main benefit of paid advertising is the immediate results that can be achieved to drive traffic to the advertisers website to see super fast results with sometimes a huge burst of traffic immediately. It can get your business up and running fast, fast, fast! You should be able to see measurable results within a few days. You can also make changes to your wording on the fly and see the results of your changes almost immediately.
Paid advertising lets you control what your listings say and how they look on the page showing all the search query results even though you will be limited in the number of words you can use. It requires you to focus on a few very important keywords and focus, focus, focus. Your message gets a read.
Paid advertising has an inexpensive start up costs. If you do it yourself, setting up your initial account(s) won’t cost more than $5-10.
Paid advertising programs also have options to identify searchers by geographic locations.
Since I am new to advertising, I will choose to go with the paid advertising.
