In my experience you can get a cirtain amount of success with free advertising, such as posting on free ad sites or forums. However, this business is a numbers game. You have to find qualified prospects to work the business.
By this I mean people who are already interested in your specific business opportunity and share your work ethic. Therefore, if you have the funds I would always suggest paid advertising with companies that have the resources to post high volume, high converting ads.
As with anything in life, it is all about quality not quantity, and you need to find open minded resourceful prospects who will work with you for a common financial cause!
