I am glad you ask this question because one of my friends said the same thing when I invited him to join SFI. Let me share what I told him that ended up with my friend signing up for SFI.
I told him that, it is one good thing about internet marketing because you can get affiliates even if you do not know the person, and you can get them from anyplace worldwide. So, what is needed is to learn some simple internet marketing techniques to get those affiliates.
So I begun to enumerate to him some simple internet marketing techniques.
1) Face Book Marketing - I told him that I will make a simple splash page/blog for him in blogger that he can use to promote in Face Book. I teach him how to join a group with online earning as the theme and start posting there.
2) Showed him some free ads listing in 2 or three ads site. I thought him how to use google to find more free ads site.
3) I also showed him two paid ads websites and help him to sign in.
4) I brought him to some ECA who are selling PSA.
5) Finally, I showed him the Pricebenders where he can win PSA and CSA.
These made him very excited and signed up as my Affiliates. Until now I am still teaching him some other techniques and he is very thankful for the new things he is learning.
Hope you can also convince him that it is not necessary to know a lot of people to join and be successful in SFI.
