For me rejection is a part of business. Without rejection you cannot improve your presentation.
Also understand that it takes most people 7 times to be exposed to something new before they will accept it as being real. That is why you see the repetitive advertising on TV and on billboards.
A tactic I use for sponsoring and to avoid rejection is to go to the same place at the same time over and over. This could be business network meetings or picking the children up from school.
You will begin to recognise people's faces as being there at the same time as you are. Smile and say hello because they will be recognising you too. As you progress with this 'familiarisation process' start to have conversations and mention SFI each time.
I highly recommend having a slogan. When asked what you do say something like:
'I help people improve their finances through home based business, so they can move upward with their lives'
Because of the slow exposure you are giving SFI they will become more interested and they will as you. This is the time you need to be ready to present your business to them. Have it clear in your head what you are going to say and practice it before you say it. The more confidence you have the more confidence they are going to have in you and your business.
If your business is rejected it will be because:
1. You have not presented it with confidence and knowledge. You need to practice more. To find out if this is the case ASK the person you have presented to. Most people will want to help and in asking this question they may become MORE interested.
2. This business is not for them. Move on to your next prospect. You should have one ready because the 'familiarisation process' is sequential.
3. They are not ready at the moment. This is OK. Continue to be friendly and let them see you talking to other people about your business.
At no time do I encourage 'false friendships' or 'flattery'. That only leads to problems. Always be genuine with those around you or you will be seen as a fraud and that will do a lot of damage to your reputation and that of your business.
