I don't mention it much the first month, other than to tell them that they will want to consider it and why. During the second month, when I see they are struggling a bit to get their VP, I bring up the subject again, but with more emphasis on the fact that they will eliminate that worry over gaining points becuase they are locked in with 1500 VP, or have a great start with another VP amount. I don't want to pressure them into setting up their SO, rather, I like for them to see for themselves the value in it.
