In working with the homeless, unemployed or underemployed, I have learned a lot about the way they think and respond to new ideas and concepts. They need people to listen to them, to their story or what has brought them to where they are today. This brought me to being able to understand their needs and what I can do to help them move from where they are to where they need and even, a lot of them, even want to be; but, do not know how to get beyond their own hurts and misfortunes.
1. I go to where they are. I put myself in their shoes and I get on their level. I post flyers in places like laundry-mats, dry cleaners, places where they shop, eat and gather. Yes, you will get a lot of ones that are just curious, wanting easy money or just do not really want to work at all; but, you can at least give them an opportunity and who knows even find that person, who is real, about making money. They will be the ones to help you reach your goals and dreams. Plus you will be helping others find their way in life.
2. I put flyers out such as help wanted or learn computers while you earn money. Then my favorites for these projects are the TripleClicks flyers that say get money for your unwanted items, clean out your attic by selling those unwanted items or the price bender auction adds that talk about, you can will great new products for pennies on the dollar or up to 90% and more off new electronics and more.
3. You get the idea. Post these flyers and watch the calls come in. As they call you, give them as little information as possible on the phone and get them to agree to an interview, for their job, as soon as possible. Get names and phone numbers that you can call them back before their interview to confirm and remind them of how important it is for them to be their.
4. At the interview, show them, the auctions and how they work. Show some of the items people have won at very low prices. Show them how they can make money selling item on TripleClicks. Then show them how they will earn while they learn. After you have done this you are now ready to start entering in their information to sign them up.
This works with young or old. Older ones that may be homeless may need more training on the computer, so you may have to spend more time with them, to keep them interested. Make it exciting. Young people who may be just getting out of school may not be able to find employment or is working part time at a dead end job and will be looking to help supplement their income. Don’t limit yourself, sign up everyone you can. Some will fall by the wayside others will help make you become wealthy.
