That is the exact same question I had when I gave out business cards for SFI, TripleClicks Garage Sales and Wave3. I was stepping out of the building where I live and I just placed these cards on her lap because she was talking and I did not want to interrupt her conversation so this lady got irritated and yelled at me and she threw the cards on the floor but I did not react I just kept on walking and then a few days later she scolded me in the elevator that I am not supposed to give out cards without talking to people first but I did not respond to her because I did not want to get into an argumet.
The point is I have advertised in many different beginner and a few intermediate methods and I have not gotten and answer so far but I simply keep on doing it and I just don't respond to people who behave rudely I just make a mental note to myself never to advertise to those particular people again.
My former piano teacher and good friend told me that in life there are rude people so he told me to just pass them up and go to someone else, because those are not people you would like to have in your business right?
