The best advertising, in my experience, is honest advertising.
When I place ads, I make it clear that SFI is a real business that requires time and work to achieve success. This results in less new PSAs joining, but the people who do join know what to expect from the SFI business, and are much more likely to be committed and to put the work in.
I also have a blog that explains the SFI business in detail, so that new prospects fully understand what they have to do before they join. I promote the blog in various places, such as traffic exchanges, safelists and classified ads, and I also receive some search engine traffic. The new PSAs who come through my blog are always the most active and the most serious about building a business.
