I used to believe the lie that if you open up a shop, customers would come. That is sooooo false. As a matter of fact, not only is it false, but it is such a widespread lie, that it is sometimes taken as truth.
To be successful, you will need 4 things...
1. A plan - What is your purpose in opening this online shop and who will it benefit...
2. A product - What do you have in abundance that you could offer to the public...
3. A market - Who are your buyers...
4. A mentor - Who has done what you want to do and been successful...
What I have noticed is that too many people try to become successful on their own. Aside from die, there aren't too many things that we can REALLY be successful at by ourselves. Find someone to help you, individually, who isn't afraid that you are the "competition," and work under them - let them walk you through the process of your new business.
