The BEST way to make your advertising more effective is to have a target audience being advertised to. What I mean is this, advertise to a group that you know want what you have.
If I were advertising the PB auctions and the iPad, I probably wouldn't advertising in some elderly magazine or to an older audience, mainly because my largest audience is NOT going to be older people, it'll be the younger, working group.
If I were advertising how becoming an affiliate will help you to retire early, I probably won't be very effective marketing to college students; but would do better talking to professionals and semi-professionals who might be in their 40's and looking for a way to end their working career a little earlier.
Basically, what I am saying is the best way to advertise effectively, is to find out where the crowd that you are trying to win hangs out... and market there - simple!!!
