These signs are by no means exhaustive. Of course, some great affiliates do not show any obvious signs. You only see their accomplishments.
To some degree, it is all very unpredictable because promising affiliates can sometimes prove you wrong and those that start off brilliantly, unfortunately fail to meet expectations.
I would say approach and treat ALL new affiliates like they are going to be a GREAT affiliate!
