As they are new affiliates, they must collect VersaPoints as much as they can starting from their date join SFI. As my experience my suggestion is directed them to open their VPLedger to determine actions to be taken by new affiliates such as daily actions, getting start actions, intermediate actions and Launchpads. Guide them using each of their VPLedger.
