Hi there :) In my experience the best way to approach the people you know is to explain them everything into details and lead them by example. Give them your own experiences and reason why did you started and how you started, help them find their own reasons and motivate them to try and see. Do not forget to tell them that you will be going through it all with them and help them in any way you can. That works for me ;)
