Ever heard of the self-development cycle?
It doesn't work...
It's when you acquire dozens of ‘proven’ tactics, methods, strategies, techniques
from several self-appointed 'gurus' and nothing seems to work.
Your results are weak and inconsistent simply because you're not learning how to consolidate and build upon a series of strategic multipliers. You just end up combining different approaches which are typically mutually exclusive.
A little 'Law of Attraction' here, a dash of visualization there, throw in some brainwave entrainment; subconscious subliminal commands and hypnosis; and complete the recipe by adding some positive affirmations, goal-setting, and NLP to the mix... and what do you get?
Lots of confusion, information overload, frustration, and usually zero or very poor results.
All this conflicting information, countless gurus, and secret systems out there is enough to confuse anyone, and If you're just 'winging it', you can easily get derailed by a sloppy method or strategy.
Learning it ALL is almost impossible.
Why?
"The Magical Number Seven, Plus or Minus Two: Some Limits on Our Capacity for Processing Information" This is one of the most highly cited papers in psychology. It was published in 1956 by the cognitive psychologist George A Miller. It is often interpreted to argue that the number of objects an average human can hold in working memory is 7 ± 2. This is frequently referred to as Miller's Law or The Magic Number 7 ± 2.
Because of genetic, cognitive limitations imposed within our human brains we’re only able to process 7 chunks of information at any one time while some people can handle 9 pieces of information, others only 5, hence the title of the research paper. Until recently, there hasn't been a simple, well thought-out process to connect ALL the dots in one clear picture.
And what is the key to joining all the dots, and growing as a SFI leader?
Duplication.
Focus all that precious, powerful, magnetic energy of yours into one, laser-targeted method and teach others to do well what you have learned to do well. The answer is very simple, but not easy.
Teaching is a skill, and requires expert knowledge and patience in order to ‘educe’ or draw out the potential of your student affiliates. This process alone is the most important step in creating the life you want for yourself. Great leaders have always been great teachers.
