There are basically two types Free advertisement and Paid Advertisement.
Paid Advertising would consist of
1. Paid per Click (very specialized, unless you are experienced not recommended)
2. Buy hits to your affiliate link. (results vary. Some programs give better results for a particular product)
3. Buy advertisement on high traffic forums and blogs.
4. Use the specialized services like Ad-minder, Planet Traffic etc.
Free Advertising resources are Traffic Exchanges, Safelists, Classified ads and Social Networks. The conversion is quite low from Free sites as most people are busy promoting their program in these sites.
Some of the best and creative methods are :
1. Twitter: You may already know that an average person reads around 200 tweets a day. If you can tweet regularly or re-post with a time gap like 8 am, 12 pm, 4pm, 8 pm etc. Make sure your tweets are specific, they must have strong call to action words.
2. Groupon : You can advertise on here as many will not be using it. Offer coupons like Gift card to Prospects. It may take about 2 weeks to get an approval and listing on this site.
3.Blog Marketing : you can write a guest blog that offers an alternative viewpoint on a common issue and get it published on a popular website.Make sure that your post includes a link back to your site
4. Ebay : List a report on specific topic for Eg: "how to create adwords campaign for cents". Offer this report for low cost maybe 99 cents. Create a Featured Plus auction for this product.which means it is displayed at the top of the auction listings before the non-Featured auctions (regular auctions). You will also want the auction to be a Dutch auction, which means you can sell multiple items from the same auction. A Featured Plus auction will cost around $20.00 to post, along with about $5 – $6 of miscellaneous posting fees including the Dutch auction fee.
5. Squidoo : This is once again a very good advertising program and you need to find good keywords and can receive a huge traffic to your lens.
Remember any advertisement is not bad. The more pair of eyes that see your advertisement will result in more sign ups.
