There is really no one answer to this question. Each person has to find their own niche. Some find more success with promoting word of mouth to friends, family and colleagues. I personally have utilized a combination of social media such as Facebook, Online free advertising sites and my own personal website. At this point I have received more interest from the free ad sites so if you are looking for a good starting point then that may be your ticket. Just Google "post a free ad" and you will get a ton of listings for where you can post.
