When should you give up on CSAs depends on you. If you have not done what you need to do then why should you expect them to work when you haven't. However, if you have then realize that there is always planting season, then the growing season, then the harvest. Too many of us are looking for a harvest when we have not allowed adequate time for growth.
I was inactive for 3 years! I do not say this proudly but sometimes life does get in the way. Everyone has ups and downs. Think outside of the box in ways to offer your assistance and in some cases you will reap the rewards of your labor. Every farmer knows that you will get a harvest but never 100%.
