How do you keep affiliates who are yet to earn anything motivated when family and friends are consistently telling them they are wasting their time?

4 Simple Steps to Daily Implement: ENCOURAGE them/REMIND them/TELL them/GIVE them
On a regular basis, Encourage them to DO THE BEST they can. Putting forth all efforts is always a great, positive pay-off. Remind them of the basics...if they forget, they can always revisit SFI Basics tab on their Affiliate Center Page. Tell them to try not to let negative energy or talk consume them - just be persistent; it pays off in the long run. Give them this as a Daily Phrase: "Do what you KNOW you NEED TO DO - then duplicate EVERYDAY, constantly teaching others to do what YOU DO."

I have affiliates come to me for help who are not part of my team--should I help them or send them away?

You should definitely help them-as we are all one body. They may be soon forfeited or given to someone else who may never give them the help or insight you may be able to give. Supporting one another is a strong element in this huge family...let's all remember to give our best SUPPORT to ANY AFFILIATE who comes to us for ANY kind of help.
Note: It could be you in their shoes...now or later. SO...SUPPORT SUPPORT SUPPORT!
