As many affiliates have already said, it varies.

I have however put in no more effort than communicating with my down line, which has proved mostly inactive and done my to-do list daily, weekly and monthly. I've also participated in the auctions and games and have a standing order for 1500VP.

I started earning three months in and now (after seven months) am earning enough to cover the cost of my standing order. I don't mind because I enjoy working on SFI everyday.

My most successful affiliates are from a country where English is not the norm and yes, we have in some cases had difficulty communicating.

I check on their VP ledger so I can see where they may be missing something and if I see a gap I try and bring it to their attention as soon as possible.

The minute I pick up that an affiliate is struggling to communicate his/her needs to me, I refer them to the translator available on SFI. I also try and keep the English simple and refrain

How can we guide our new affiliates in a way that prevents or minimizes information overload?

My answer to your question is to give them very basic information at first.

Make it clear it would be in their best interests to log in daily and earn their points as they can compete in the E365 and the Daily Grand. Remind them that the launchpad lessons and SFI basics also earn them points and appear on their home page to be referred to at any time they need to.

Tell them who you are and that you're there to help. If and when you win something whether it's a draw, a game,

Hi Lucky

My strategy would be to play on a sport that I understand and enjoy, be enthusiastic and when you win, tell everyone - celebrate your win!

Excitement is contagious and people will naturally be curious or think you're totally crazy! Draw them in without going overboard, if you can, show them how it works, and if they're interested in any of the sports we have on Uber-Picks, they'll probably want to get involved too. Keep it light and about having fun!

Use yourself as an example, l know one of my limitations is procrastination.

Since joining SFI, my goal was to log in every day as suggested, I've done so except on occasions when I was out of internet range (we still have problems where I am).

I've woken up in the early hours of the morning realising I've forgotten an action and no matter how tired I was, or how cold the night, I've gotten up and completed the task. Luckily we're a few hours ahead of the USA.

I'm assuming your team is fairly small as you refer to the team having a negative attitude.

If this is the case, then I would suggest you take a look at their profiles and see whether the problem is because they speak a different language. They may not know about the translator that's available on SFI. Send them a mail explaining where they can find it. If you have an affiliate who is active from the same country / area, reassign them to that person.

Hi David

If your affiliates are anything like I was, they probably signed up on various online sites trying to make some money.

The trouble is that many of the sites out there bombard you with emails and you find that where you may have registered on two or three sites, you suddenly have hundreds of mails coming in. Some of them won't even let you unsubscribe. When you try, you keep getting error messages until you can't be bothered.
