How do you motivate your downline to spend money monthly to maintain EA status without sounding greedy?

Look, first of all, You don't need to motivate them to SPEND money. It should be much better if You will tell them to BUY something they need instead of first phrase. As well, as Team leader You should know that most of us with active first generation don't need to "spend" even 1$. How's that?
For example, with 10 active EA2s You will get 1000 VPs each month and through Your daily To-Do's lists You will be active with minimum of 1500 VPs. If You're on higher positions, as well You will get Your action points from first generation, daily tasks and sales You can make with promotion to Your store on TripleClicks.com or by registered PRMs.
It's true that someone will need to buy something somewhere in order to start circulating money, but I know on personal examples it is possible only by promoting Triple Clicks and active PRMs.

Dear Rosafilipina,
You shouldn't use any of titles for Yourself except those written in Affiliate agreement.
So, You can tell anyone who will ask You that You are an "Independent contractor". Don't try to use any other title for that connection, otherwise You will risk Your complete career with SFI.
Here's the topic:
1. Affiliate agrees that an SFI Affiliate is an independent contractor and not an employee, agent, partner, legal representative, or franchisee of SFI. Affiliate further agrees not to incur any debt, expense, obligation on behalf of, for, or in the name of SFI.
Otherwise, You can tell Your people that You are for example:
An independent contractor - (changeable) (Executive Affiliate,xxxx Team Leader)

If You'd like to promote any ECAs either to Your downline and/or to other people who are not members, open Triple Clicks, click on the tab ECAs and find one You want.
Click on it and scroll down to the end. You will see dark blue box named "SFI Info Box". You will see:

Respectively, all of us would like to recruit and have in downline only serious people, but most of the time it's not possible. Within these kinds of marketing plans and types of earnings, really nice success is when You make no more than 3% of total affiliates active.
In calculation, on 3000 people joined to Your team, if up to 90 people are active, You had been succeed.
As really experienced manager in some other MLMs on the global market, I can tell You that if You want to Your cooperators, affiliates believe You, just need to tell them TRUE and nothing but the TRUE.
Otherwise, all of them will sooner or later find out You spoke lies and that will be crash. They will opt-out or just stop to work, which will be complete disaster.

Open the page of Fast Track, You can print it out to have it with You if You will work 1-1 meeting. You can translate it for someone not speaking English. As well, tell them always that they have chance to earn much more if they are members of FT. Make some short calculation on site to convince them what You are talking about.

This method isn't recommended, just because You will earn once that people signed up from links on PPC and You will loose a lot if they will make good progress. Why? Because, people registered through those links will no exist in Your own downline.
But anyway, if You want to do it, just use simple steps from PPC Support. Make offered banners on Your affiliate center with link from PPC and that's all. When someone will sign up, You will be informed.

Definitely the best options is to spend Your MRPs to buy TCredits. Best is to purchase single TCredit for 126 MRP and 102VPs (Sales VPs).
To take best from TCredit, beside member listings You can use "DP" auctions which means double points or double MRPs.
I'm making my EA status active each month just with this option. I started with one purchasing Tcredits and now it's lifetime options to get my status and earning money from team.
Is cold calling, using a local telephone directory, a good method for attracting new PSAs?

It's not so popular, because You'll spend a lot of time and money on speaking every time from the start to people You don't know and don't know You. As well, any time You're asking someone to start spending money somewhere it's not so popular. High chances are that they will neglect it.
This kind of advertising is really good only with people who trust You, such as Your real friends, family and cooperqtors from other companies.
Should I advise new PSAs to slow down and not qualify as Team Leaders so quickly?

You, as their sponsor, just need to explain them what are advantages not using all available VPs very quickly. To let them know they will not gain anything with do it in three days and then nothing. To show them for example, difference in earnings from being TL and then next month maybe no more than EA instead of regular progression to become EA with all VPs from daily, weekly and monthly actions and to make it again in second month.
Make just a few calculations in steps and probably, if they know why they joined the program, will understand what to do.
Basically, You can't do nothing stop them of use everything within even first 3 hours of joining.

Look, it depends on where are You posting Your information and/or adverts and to whom. Everyone interested would like to know more, but don't bother them with kilometer text from start.
Statistically, more than 87% of people when they see the long text to read, they're thinking it's gonna be so hard even to start, so precise and concise info in few lines it'd be great.
