I probably understand what would have compelled you to ask this question.

Going by my own experience, when I first joined SFI in 2014, I was totally lost. I heard from my sponsor only a couple of times at the beginning and that was it.

I sent my sponsor a couple of emails for help but no help was coming from there. This non-support from my sponsor made me stronger because I decided to explore a lot of areas and check out the resources in SFI by myself.
I then decided to concentrate on doing some reading. From there I used the a2a program where I got some help.
I started to visit the Forum and basically got a lot of my questions answered from there. Very slowly I joined some of the discussions in the Forum.

I joined the newsletter which gave me first hand news every month. That was and still is a very big help to me. Very slowly things started to fall into place. Today I am still not comfortable working with SFI but I told myself ages ago that, this is not a race. I will continue to follow the long track that everybody is using until I reach my goals.

In a nutshell, if you are not getting any help from your sponsor, don’t rely on him or her. You have to use the resources that SFI makes available to its Affiliates.

What do I love about SFI? This is a good question because it gets one to analyze your reasons for joining SFI and sticking around .

For me:
SFI is a business that was highly recommended by my sponsor from another Affiliate Program.

Once I joined, I was intrigued by the way SFI does its business. What other business do you know that bends over backwards to help its affiliates succeed I might add.

-It’s a no brainer- You get a free shop that you can use to purchase goods to get your points to move ahead.
-All training made available to the affiliates are free
-You get to have fun too playing games and take part in the auctions to gain points.
- Sure it’s a long trek to the top but I believe that’s a challenge that dedicated SFIers love. You fall down you get up and you trying again and again until you steadily get up there with everyone’s support.
-The Forum is one big family gathering where everyone supports each other 24/7, no matter what race, creed or who you are. I think this is the best part I love about SFI besides building a business. Everyone is all there for one common reason. To achieve their goals with the support of each other in SFI.
-The CEO is always there with the community and he is great. I am amazed sometimes that he has so much patience to put up with so much from his affiliates. Sometimes some members come up with very petty complaints but he is so cool about them all the time.
What more can anyone love about SFI? In a nutshell, SFI is packaged for everyone to succeed.. It’s up to each affiliate to pick up the package and run with it.

Usually, those types of people base their ideas on assumption. These types of prospects prefer the “Get Rich Quick Scheme” type of business where they want to get big returns in a very short time.

SFI is not one of those businesses.

SFI goes out of its way to train all its affiliates for free. The 1VP awarded for going through your daily tasks is a period of learning . Eventually as you progress in SFI, that 1VP will increase to more and more VPs and your earnings will grow bigger and bigger and before you know it you have started to make a very handsome income. This reminds me of a biblical verse; “The stone the builders rejected became the cornerstone.” Very powerful.

All it takes is some commitment and persistence from the affiliate. If you stop to think about it, when you start a new physical business you will not make any profits for quite sometime before you reap the benefits. You even go through sleepless nights worrying about where the money is going to come from to pay your employees.

This is the same in SFI except you do not have to pay anyone else. This is your very own business and you have to make it work.

This is where one of SFI’s motto comes in very handy “ Dream Big, Aim High!

I wish I could contribute a better answer to your question. I have a sponsor who only communicated with me once only when I first joined SFI 6 months ago. I had never heard from my first co-sponsor and then I was re-assigned to a new co-sponsor who only congratulated me for being an EA once only. Since then nothing. Every month I try to get in touch with my sponsor but never get any response.
This has forced me to work my way around SFI doing a lot of reading everyday and applying what I learned. I joined the SFI newsletter where I get my weekly and monthly information on what is happening around SFI. I try my best to visit the Forum where I learn a lot from Affiliates of all ranks and different countries.Often I have seen someone in the forum raving on about how good their sponsor is. They are the lucky ones. This you can only wish for. I use a2a friends for assistance occasionally or use ASK SC.
It’s everyone’s dream to have a good sponsor/co-sponsor because they are supposed to guide you and give you moral support in your progressive journey in SFI. They are supposed to show you what works and what does not work to increase your earnings in SFI. You are supposed to duplicate what they do to succeed in SFI.
Other than that you are on your own. If you recognize the potential earning you can get from SFI you will forged your way up making use of the many free resources SFI makes available to SFI Affiliates. Unfortunately with this sad situation those Sponsors /co sponsors benefit from your personal hard-work.

SFI is one internet business, we should all be glad and be proud to be part of. For the first 30 days all the training that SFI provides to all SFI Affiliates is all free. Amazing.

Having said that, you still should have a budget for some little purchases you may need when you graduate from the training period of 30 days when you have depleted all the big versa points you are awarded for learning the business.

Example.

$36.50 for 125 credit pack which gives you 1500 TCs on a standing order (monthly)
$24.00 for a S Builder Coop unit (monthly) . This is great for recruiting PSAs to help build your business if you prefer not to advertise your business yourself.

From this couple of suggestions, you can use this as a guide to work out your budget and set your goals. Hope this is of some help.

I have personally struggled through my SFI business,relying mostly on my own professional experience. Besides that, I have managed to work through my SFI business making use of SFI’s other Support Resources.
I have not been able to get support from my up-liners so I sought help from my A2A friends. I do not remember ever getting this much help from any other Home Based Businesses I had been a member of before. SFI is truly a business of the global family.

Based on my own experience as a beginner with SFI; the first thing to do is to watch the training video on the overview of the SFI business. I felt already at ease by simply watching the video on SFI Basics.

Below are points that SFI beginners may use as a guide. This may not apply to all as everyone is different.

1. Treat SFI as a business. This will decide on how much time you want to put into your business.

2. Set out some simple plans and set your goals. Even if you don’t know how, seek help from your up-liners or down-liners. Setting goals is probably one of the most important factors in your success.

3. Review your goals regularly as required based on your progress in SFI.

4. Log into the Affiliate Center everyday and review the information on each tab and apply them. The information in each tab is to help affiliates build their businesses.

5. Stay focused and don't get distracted or overwhelmed.

6. Start by watching the video on the overview of the SFI business. This covers just about what a beginner should know about SFI.

7. Make use of SFI resources already in place if you do not hear from your up-liners.

8. Review regularly as required by going to the” SFI Basics”.
