But it all depends on timing, when is auction held and general timing in the auction.

The clearest benefit for me is getting rid of my stuff I don't need anymore.
I think there are bunch of people who have some stuff stored away at attic or garage.

Before bombarding them with precious information, I would first feel them out. Try and find out in what kind of living situation they are. Get a bit personal. What kind of experience do they have, do they speak for example good English?
Try to see if they could invest from start.
Depending on the answer... You have to be prepared to make them understand the possibilities and the amount of work effort is needed to succeed in SFI.
After you explained to them what can be achieved, and got to know them a bit...
You should paint them a realistic picture about SFI and the possibilities.
Either way at the end it all comes to investing time to read -> learn and eventually earn.
Cause most people are skeptic and they see no end in the tunnel, I think the best way to get them to see the light, is to make them understand that eventually when the day comes you start earning you will earn for the rest of your life. And in meanwhile you will find yourself addicted to succeed more. SFI community is close. Everybody depends on each other. In order to succeed we need to work. And with work comes patience. If the affiliates don't have patience then don't waste time on them anymore.
Rome wasn't build in a day, There is time needed to build a valuable team. And an hour a day of your time shouldn't be much! You can work anytime and anywhere doing anything! I would definitely focus on the winners. Cause winners see the BIG picture! Most of the time you can see from the start if you can make them into a valuable team member. Pick the winners!

As first I would enumerate all the things I did, and go one by one trying to figure out what you might be doing wrong. To be able to do that best way is to repeat all the lessons and offered information on SFI website. Things like getting started, comp. plan, rules of success and etc...

After you done that try to search for questions on ASK, visit forum and search about topics regarding this question. See for the possible advertising options.
Learn about the ones you didn't do.
If you for example only did online advertising maybe for a change try real life advertising. Not only for Affiliate sign ups, but for TripleClicks.
Like targeting people who would like to do auctions or place an ECA store.
Think in your city of possible businesses which could participate in ECA program.
Try live advertising.
If you haven't tried all your friends then don't wait any longer. Think of good sales talk and sell them SFI idea. Make them enthusiastic. IT's easier to do that with someone who is close to you then a total stranger. You can make them thrust you easier!
So start with the basic. That's basically what I'm saying.

I would first ask them what they are doing cause they are maybe doing something wrong.
Where are they pumping their money in? Maybe there is some kind of information they missed or misunderstood.

Otherwise there isn't really much you can do. Most of them already made up their mind. They aspect too much in too short amount of the time. Patience is really important in this business. Reading is learning and learning is earning!

SFI is long-term base program if you wanna earn an significant 2nd income. Let's be honest you can succeed also without an sponsor who is helping you a long the way.
IF you take some good time to explore SFI website, forum and read about all kind of tools SFI is providing.
Your job as a sponsor is to be available and help people at the beginning of the program. Learn them the things you did, give them tips you found useful.
Some people catch up faster then the others but at some point they have to continue on their own and start understanding the big picture.

There isn't really one and best answer to this question.
Cause if you don't have a plan you will spend money for the cards without any results.
If money is not really a problem for you then you could target all kind of different public places.
Think for example on supermarkets, bus stops, train stations, universety's and etc..
List can go on for long...
But if you don't have a deep pocket then you should probebly focus to places where people visit who can really see them selfs benefit from the SFI program. Think on people who are without a job. And who are searching for one.
So visit places who offer jobs and list your cards for them to see.
Also use places which offer chance to free advertise something. Like some supermarkets have a corner where people offer or advertise all kind of stuff. Use them, cause at those places you get lots of different kind of people...
