If you are not good at approaching people face to face, what are some tips to improve in this area?

Approaching people face to face can feel overwhelming and out of comfort if you haven't had much practice in this area.
Strengthening self confidence is the key to improvement. Here are some tips I share with others to help them to practice and learn how to approach people.
*Everytime they're out in public, smile and say hi to at least 2 strangers they pass by, most times they will get the same in return, this gives you a good feeling.
*When being served at a store, by an assistant or similar, practice to make small talk, even if it's just mentioning how nice the day is or how has their day been so far. By doing this you're learning to start a conversation.
*Phone calls are helpful too, you learn how to talk with another person and hold a conversation.
*If you have a friend or friends who are a people's person, spend time with them, they have great energy that you can pick up.
The more consistent you are practicing, the more confident you become. Gradually it will get easier and you will naturally bring SFI,TripleClicks or whatever you have in mind into your conversations.

What is the best way to motivate members of my downline to become Team Leaders and not stay EAs?

Hi there,
My suggestion in motivating members of your downline to become Team Leaders and not stay EA would be -
1) Kindly remind them, they are building their own SFI affiliate business and that you are assisting until they are ready to branch off on their own.
2) Be encouraging and supportive of all their achievements, let them know everything they are learning and have accomplished is to help them become Leaders of their own teams.
3) Share positive words and thoughts about leadership. Let them know you have faith and believe in them. Give them the inspiration in wanting to become a Leader.
4) Let them know the rewards and benefits of being a Leader.
5) Stay positive

An affiliate logs in after a long period of inactivity. Should I acknowledge this? And if so, what should I say?

By all means, definitely acknowledge they have become active again.
There are different reasons and circumstances why someone has had a long period of inactivity. Whatever the reason may have been, they have now come back which could also be a great sign that they're 'ready' this time around.
Welcome them back with enthusiasm. Re-introduce yourself, a refresher who you are. Let them know you are here to assist and can help, when they need your guidance. Do ask them if there is anything they would like help with now, or would like to know.

When you initiate an online chat with a new PSA, what should you discuss?

Firstly, introduce yourself as their Sponsor. Welcome your PSA to SFI and your team.
I suggest asking them what understanding of SFI they have. This will let you know if you need to explain to them about SFI, it also gives you an idea how much guidance to start them with and if they will need a little extra of your time. Be positive and encouraging, let them know you will work together with them as they learn and build with SFI and you're here to guide and help.

I would suggest that you have knowledge of the question you want to answer, before answering. Honest answers from your experiences or your own general knowledge usually grab attention. When giving your answer, it's helpful if you keep it simple so it's easier for everyone to understand.
All in all, wether you get maximum votes or not, being able to share your opinion/suggestion with the rest of us is a whole lot more.
