Hi,
I am ECA also, so this is going to be from experience. I have products up for sale that I manufacture and others that I get from other companies that I like their products from around the world.

Here's what I did.
I started out by listing mine first, then went to the nearest post office to get the costing of shipping done for each product, so I could put that up as the shipping cost. I decided to choose a few countries though I intend to add some more.

As for the other products that are not directly mine, I make arrangements for free shipping with the manufacturing/distributing company. That way, products get shipped directly to the buyer. I only do this with companies I trust to a level, because if they don't have integrity, it will misrepresent my business also. I only deal with products that can be shipped free, except for a few exceptions.

The best use of MRPs is purchasing TC Direct products. Because with that you get to earn SVP which will help you advance to the next level. I think among all those products, the single TCredits gives the maximum returns. You can purchase it with 126MRPs and you will get 102 VPs in return. Isn't that great?!
When I'm not in need of points, I sometimes purchase products from other ECAs with MRP. These are usually things I personally need.

First things first! How active is their downline? Without an active downline, being a team leader will profit them nothing. Remember that they need the rating of their downlines. So if they don't have an active downline, your first line of action will be to help them get some, then you can now start nudging them towards being team leaders. After all a leader without followers (an active downline) is only taking a walk.

I know you need them to move up fast so your compensation can increase, but you really need to help them help you.

Keep it simple, practical and realistic. First of all, the aim should be that you want to help the person asking the question as well as everyone reading and voting.
I've only answered few questions around here and the aim was to help, especially when I notice previous answers were incorrect or inadequate. When we proffer solutions, we open the way to success for ourselves and others.
Personal experience also helps to drive home the point.

In answering this question, I'll first ask questions. Who is a leader? Who is a team leader? Can there be leaders without followers? Can a team leader lead without a team? Who does a team leader lead when they have no team? Is experience needed to beeds leader in a particular field?

I'm sure if you answer the above questions rightly, you'll know that your best bet might be to discourage them until they understand the SFI system enough and also have an active team to lead. Remember, you do need your downline rating to be BTL at least. Only an active downline can rate you, so until their downlines are active advise them to invest their money into duplication first, especially if they're not very financially buoyant.
I became a BTL in my first month, because of my SO of 1500VP. But I couldn't stay on BTL because I had no active team members to rate me. Alas, I was almost frustrated. So please, save your PSA that frustration by discouraging them for now.
