This is what I do to promote my blogs for business:

Easy to be found:
By optimizing my blog and web site with key words I make it easier for people searching for me to find my blog using search engines such as Google and Bing.
Use Social Media:
I use social media such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, StumbleUpon, Digg and others to let others know about my blogs and useful content.
Useful Content:
I need to have something that people can use. If I only tell them how rich they will be after hireling me the only thing I’ve told them about is my ego.
Easy to Contact:
Once they have found me I try to make it easy to connect with me and stay in touch. I have contact forms, email and phone numbers to make it easy to get information and get in touch with me. If the visitor to a website spends too much time looking for a way to contact you they will leave.
So I definitely think that blogs are an effective means to promote your business or organization and generate sales and business.

The simplest way to create a co-op is as follows. Keep control of everything. Your team members are joining the co-op because they want your marketing experience to guide their recruiting efforts so give them the total package and eliminate logistical issues by:

1. Create ONE lead capture page and "co-op" list. Drive all your traffic to the LCP and you control the email follow up there after sending traffic to your members recruiting pages. Depending on the business you may want to create a sales letter to really highlight the benefits of joining and to create unique benefits for joining your team like "having an instant co-op waiting for them once they join"


2. Use a URL rotator for the link to join in your sales page and simply add your co-op members to that link. So the link would simply be a "Join Now" link in your sales copy like a "Buy Now" link on an info product sales page. The link would redirect to the order form information for your business.

3. Email your co-op list daily with content and remind them to join via a PS statement or a sponsorship type
ad in each email. After you've got about 60 or so emails written you can just set them up in an autoresponder and let them run on autopilot, but I've always found there is TRUE magic in writing a live message to your list daily.

The best place is where a lot of people will see it, and where it's allowed to be posted. Some towns have sign ordinances that ban the posting of flyers on public poles (Like telephone poles).

Generally when we want to post something we start with bulletin boards around town--at the grocery story, in the library, and then in any merchant's window who will allow us to do so.

If you can have your flyers inserted into the local newspaper that helps, but there is a cost involved there.

Depending on what information is on the flyers, you might take them to a college campus to post them, or local churches, or community event boards--where ever you can post them! It's harder to find places that will allow it, at least where I live.

One of the biggest challenges in this business to attract quality people.
If you are just starting out, you will need to brand yourself.. Do not expect fast results to start. Branding yourself as a person in the SFI business will take time.
Some great ways to "establish" your brand:
Write a personal blog and try to post a relevant article.
Social Media, this is a great way to attract people.
I think the best thing anyone can so is be themselves and honest.

Probably the most important trait or skill needed is "passion." Passion can be defined in several ways - the "I think I can" mindset, being able to bounce back and keep on going, persistence, determination and initiative. These all represent just several ways of stating the fact that that you will persevere in achieving your goals. You will do what it takes to overcome, go around, move, or run over anything that blocks your way. In the case of owning your own business, it means never taking no for an answer, constantly asking more questions, and rarely believing that something "just can not be done. Some people may just call you goal-oriented. Passion must come from within but if you believe in what you are doing, passion often comes right along with it.
A related ability is that of a self-starter. This talent does not mean you may not stopand sit for a moment when knocked down. But you always get back up and keep moving forward. Along with being a self-starter, you need to be a hard worker. Starting your business will require untold hours of work, often at times of the day when you would much rather be relaxing or being with family. You must believe though in the end result thus helping you continue to always move forward. Needless to say that means finding a way to keep your energy level up.
To be a successful business owner, you must be honest and have a great deal of integrity. You must be authentic. You must be a listener.
Obviously you need to have a level of creativity or know who you can tap to get that creative spark. This means being inquisitive, looking at the world in terms of what are the problems people are trying to solve and do you have a solution to offer. This means you can demonstrate problem solving skills.
Entrepreneurs are often said to be calculated risk takers; in reality, they just do the homework before setting out on the journey. You want to maximize your chances of success. To give yourself the best possible chance, you are constantly learning and looking for advice and mentors. Networks are crucial to you as you know what they can offer in achieving your goals.
In terms of learning, you need some background in general management and decision making, accounting, and personnel management. You also may need to take some leadership courses and, of course, an understanding is a must.

1. Newspaper Ad
Dull but effective: Purchase a classified advertisement in your local newspaper

2.Use your network
If you have friends who have their own businesses, think about how you can advertise each other’s services. E.g. if you have a friend who owns a restaurant, offer to advertise the restaurant on your site or brochure if they will print your URL on their till receipts or napkins.

3.For the more energetic
If you’re a runner or cyclist why not write your URL on the back of your sport’s shirt. You could go the whole hog and sign yourself up for a marathon? That’s 26 miles of pain free publicity for you! The less energetic could consider sponsoring a local sports team’s kit.

4. Don’t be shy
If there’s a trade show in town that is related to your niche, stand outside with a sign advertising your URL. Alternatively stand in an airport arrivals hall with a sign with your business link on it. Have some cards or flyers available to hand out to any people who ask for further information.

5. Visit your local library and put a business card or a branded bookmark with your website URL in every book available for loan in a section related to your niche

You need to be signed up to at least 10 good safelists to make sure you are advertising to a good cross section of opportunity seekers. There are many safelists to choose from.
Part of the deal when you join FREE safelists, is that you agree to accept email ads from other members who are also participating. When you join safelists, you will need to give them 2 different email addresses. One email address is for receiving the ads from members and the other address is for receiving communications from the owner of the safelist list.
Free safelists vary in how often you can send ads. I recommend you keep a list or spreadsheet of all your safelists, their links, your usernames/passwords, and how often you are allowed to post ads. Post ads as often as each safelist will allow!
When you send an ad on a safelist, just keep the message short and leave the link to your lead capture page for them to click on. (Once you start getting people set up in your "Friends in Business" programs, you can set up your rotator to include their links in your advertisements! That way you are helping your downline advertise their links and helping their business grow. Remember, if they grow, you grow too! It's always win-win to help each other succeed!)
