As I build my downline, what are the common mistakes I need to avoid?

I think the first and most important thing is that you can not be bored or ignore your members, forgetting to maintain contact with them, encourage them and guide, and you do not ever forget -do not do them what you do not want others do to you !!
On start cooperation that is enough, later watch your upliner and see which things should be avoided in building a successful downline
Is it worthwhile to send individual welcome letters to new PSAs...or can I just send out group mailings?

For new PSA I think the best way to send them a welcome letter individually, no matter how many you got at the moment (new), because it is still in my opinion the best so-called "personal" approach to new members, so they can gain self-confidence in you as a sponsor, and work in SFI, to know that you are taking your time and devoted yourself to them, so it will be safer and it will later be able to count on you and your help
If it were otherwise, it would be the same job like any other, where are all just numbers and not individual

Is SFI good for students (18 or older)? Why or why not?

Yes, of course it is good for students.
Except it brings a certain smaller or larger cash benefit, it gives them the possibility of development of social skills, brings responsibility for smaller or larger group of people-means an opportunity to become empathetic, responsible, brave leaders, improve their marketing opportunities -and we all know that today is the most important marketing.
To learn daily work and enjoy the work.
SFI business can build them as a very successful business people!

As a new Team Leader, what is the single most important thing I should be doing?

I think there are more important things but as the most important is communication with your team.
There is a persistence in work, faith in yourself, the ability to overcome a variety of problems ...With all these mentioned you give an example of your team members, how to be successful in the SFI.
So:
-communication
-persistence
-faith in yourself
-example Teammates
-and again- communication
What was your greatest challenge to success in SFI...and how did you overcome it?

My biggest challenge was to overcome shame, because I'm not very nimble trader,I was embarrassed to advertise a job, not because I do not believe in it,I dont know why??!! After a lot of reading and studying the system work in SFI, I realized to me does not need to be ashamed, but only boldly going forward, as Mr. Gery says, if someone does not want, does not matter, the other behind him already waiting in line...
Aim high,dream big !!
