A good leader teaches and encourages. The sponsor should show the affiliate both by example and by communication how to go forward. The sponsor should in effect teach the affiliate how to "fish" but at no point should s/he do the "fishing" for him/her. S/he can however put the bait on the hook until the affiliate is confident and skilled enough to do it alone.
In the end it is up to the individual sponsor as to how far is "beyond".

Among the popular Standing Order items (IAHBE, S-Builder, TCredits), which is best and why?
However I do believe when you are first starting with SFI there is so much training material on site that newbies have enough to keep themselves busy for at least 2 to possibly 6 months. S-builder brings in PSAs who will probably require the guidance of a longer standing affiliate. So to start the T credits is a really good choice.
Later S- builder and IAHBE can be added, hopefully from revenues the now experienced and knowledgeable affiliate is earning from SFI - the S-builder will build their downline quicker and the IAHBE will always keep them learning new and better ways of doing things and keep them up with the latest technology and marketing trends.
The ultimate aim (after you have learned to walk)should be to have a standing order for each of these to keep building on your successes.
