Good 'elevator pitch' for the SFI?
The first thing in any business is to master the knowledge because it creates security.
Another thing to continue building knowledge and not imagine that we are infallible.
The third and most important thing is to create a group of associates.
They are a gold mine (of course if they want to work and earn).
It is possible SFI job to work independently (for example only auctions without ECA).

How often and in what ways should we have contacts with our CSAs?

How often? In principle at least once a week when you send a mail merge.
Otherwise daily look "movers" tab and the "genealogy".
They CSAs something trying to get them send the question of what they need?
I look at the VP Ledger and see where the "deadlock" or forgotten entitled to VP.
Of course I take care that each CSAs has its Sponsor.
I suppose he conscious of their group where "my" CSAs still sponsor's PSAs!

It depends on who's the "downline".
If it was someone unknown to us personally (coming in contact over the line SFI)
Then to start the only good communication e-mail (personal, team).
If you establish the correct business communication it is possible contacts as

Every beginning is difficult, especially if you do not rule the facts as and how we have to do. SFI Marketing is a business that has its rules. Success does not come by chance, one should learn how to succeed. First we need to learn from those who know, and they know because they have already passed a difficult path. Therefore, it is then easier for the students used other people's experiences. SFI provides good lessons (START, SFI BASIC, Launchpad). It is necessary to apply the tips and be persistent.

Communication skills are dependent on both sides. Yet the one who first gives information must make greater efforts. SFI has tremendous positive database of marketing methods. The first contact should be welcome letter. We then still do not know the person with whom we start communicating. The letter should give encouragement and direction of action of a new member. There is no dilemma in promoting SFI or Triple Cliks!
SFI is the base and offers a long-term deal with the learning business called "marketing".
Triple Cliks open trade and the "adventure park" with a series of auctions and games
(Uber-Picks, King Card, Silver Streak, Knockout Trivia, Time Machine, Pick The Price, T-Time, TripleClicks' own Battle of the Bands ).

Every business has its own rules.
The rules of success are defined at the beginning of the SFI guidelines
(see Support-23 group responses and Training >>> Rules of Success).
It is essential to understand that this is not the SFI than for themselves.
It is good to ask those who have more experience but before that should
be read carefully everything that SFI made available.

Advertising is like a lottery, there is no guarantee of winning. It is best to try to determine the "target groups" and ads tailored to their interests. Marketing like "I have a miraculous water that cures all ills" it just offends common sense people.
It should be adapted to the interests of the group. Here's a little example in the present moment.

Dear colleagues.
There is no need to convince anyone that the SFI honest job. Just learn a new member to perform all the tasks required for the first LP in 1500. Of course it should be emphasized that after going reading and learning. Everyone chooses their way of happiness and there is no fraud. first learn the SFI system, then the investment is a logical thing. That is my position and there is no quick profit.

How can we get across to our affiliates that investing minor (at least) amounts of money into SFI is smart?

Interesting question because people do not like that they are offered "investing" in something unfamiliar to them. Therefore, I propose a friendly approach in two steps:
First show and help to create a new member immediately and free 1500 VP.
Second show you how to use the SFI Basics and Launchpad.
When a new member discloses his interest, will go to TC earnings.
