I give mine incentives to stay in it. If they qualify for EA one month, then the following month I include them in a co-op. I give praise and thanks to all my PSAs and CSAs. I keep in touch with them asking if I can assist and give them VP breakdowns to help guide them in the right direction.

Other things you can offer:

~Contests for Tcredits, gift certs/cards and even cash.
~Direct them to your Leadership page and have a blog up stating your progress and such.

Honestly the more you invest the quicker you will see return. You may not break even right away but in no business will you ever break even just after a few months. I am in my 3rd month and have been earning since my 1st month but not yet broke even. Investing both time and money are key factors in any business. I also do VP breakdowns for my team and show them what they can do to earn their next rank. If they are new it is a good idea to let them know they can save some tasks for the following month so they can earn EA 2 months in a row. It's all about duplication. You do what you want them to do and they will get the idea soon enough. Also if you show them you are willing to take

I have never been really good at telling folks why they should do anything I want them to do so I just tell them why I joined. Below are a few reasons why I joined and why I am so dedicated to SFI:

1. (This is an obvious one) It's Free to join!! =P

2. I am quite competitive and enjoy working my way up the ranks of my class to No. 1

3. All information, tools, and training materials are Free which is unheard of in any affiliate marketing program.
