I also wondered about whether I needed to tell my PSAs that they needed to set up a Standing Order. Sometimes we are so clueless in the beginning right? We read everything but we have our fingers in our mouths in fear of forgetting everything, and then....we do!

I remember calling my sponsor to ask him, "do I have to set up a Standing Order?" His reply was, "If you want to". He also explained to me that I can just wait, if I wish, in order to give myself a good chance to evaluate my needs over the course of one, two or even three months.

For me that was advice that worked well. I got the chance to decide for myself what I needed to do based on how I choose to operate. For instance, I am too lazy to copy and paste stuff into every traffic site I have memberships with. It also takes up alot of my time, so I decided that I would just let the S-builder program do that for me while I got busy doing other things. It's like delegating responsibility to a staff member who, by the way, needs to make a living as well.

Some PSAs and CSAs have asked me about the same thing and that's what I have told them. I'm not selling them anything. I'm letting them make their own purchasing decisions based on how they operate and what responsibilities they are willing to turn over to another systems that will allow them the opportunity to do their own thing.

Buying PSAs and sponsoring PSAs are two very different tasks.

You can buy PSAs by, for example, setting up a standing order for the S-builder. You will get PSAs through that program, however, you still have to sponsor them. S-builder does not sponsor them for you. It becomes your job to help the affiliates you are assigned to become business owners themselves.

If you decide to use, for instance, traffic sites or other sources to find PSAs yourself, you again have the task to also sponsor them by working with them so they can become successful as well.

Every affiliate you help, and that commits to SFI, will eventually become successful and that will reflect back on you with more success for you!

I think you asked this question before really studying the information provided to you as you started with SFI. I think that perhaps the best term to use instead of mentor, is sponsor. The work of the sponsor is to do just that. Your sponsor is, technically, your mentor.

Beyond your sponsor, if you look around the site, everybody is everywhere. SFI and TripleClicks is a company full of people. We work as a humungous team.

You know, some neighborhoods consist of families and individuals that "mentor" or "sponsor" others in their neighborhoods. Think of SFI the same way.

I initially asked questions to whomever wanted to give me an answer. Believe me, I got plenty.

This very "Ask Sc" will give you so much it'll make you wise in quick time. The forum works too.

I like this question because I can relate to it very well. I too had times when I wondered if I was going anywhere with SFI and was so tempted to give up and find something else.

Starting the program wasn't so bad because the map was straight-forward. I read the directions and did what I was told. I read that it will take work but that I can do it and that while I just do it, to make sure I become aware of the duplication of my actions and to keep doing that because eventually I will need to teach it to others.

There were times when I felt discouraged. It was either taking too long or I must be doing something wrong. I thought to myself that I have so many other members doing the same thing I'm just learning how to do. They will help me. I started to communicate with my sponsor. We even spoke on the phone. That was awesome.

I needed the confidence that my sponsor had in me. He told me over and over that I can do this, that even though it takes time, what do I have to lose to just keep going? He clarified some concerns I had that set me on track. I also sat down and wrote down the skills I have that would become beneficial to my success in SFI. I realized that I have used these skills in so many other situations that have proven successful for me. That changed my perception of myself and my ability to have a business with SFI.

I believe that if my sponsor has faith in me, then I better have some faith in me as well. Having built up that faith in my abilities, I am finding the patience, endurance and excitement with each day that passes by in SFI.

When things get tough, I think about why came to SFI. I also think about what my sponsor told me about having faith in my abilities. I asked for tips and he gave them to me freely.

I do the same with my affiliates. I let them know how great they are doing. I encourage them to keep going and guarantee that if they work it, it will work for them. I let them know that they can have faith in their abilities to just keep doing it, to see the duplication happen and keep it going, and then to teach their affiliates the same. I also ask them "how many other businesses have you tried and quit? Perhaps the common ground in that is YOU. Do you believe you can do it? If yes, then do it and see it work."

I am surely not the guru of SFI. I have loads to learn but I have gone through this website over and over and still keep finding new things to learn. I sure hope this helps.
