I think the second month maybe he/she can get EA status but the third month is very difficult if he/she does not have any funds. I am telling my experience that I should buy something to get more VPs and I didn't yet arrive for the second time BTL status.
So my opinion, if they don't have funds,help them with some TCredits or gift cards or anything else to encourage them. Third month is very important and they can submitted so don't spare,you need just to reward them and learn how can they be successful on SFI. In some countries is very hard to sell or buy anything because of impossibility to use credit card, then it's very difficult to find EACs or any kinf of product you can sell. But nothing is impossible, don't lose your faith, go ahead and be optimist. Only with a lot of work, strong vision and optimism you can win.

What do you do with affiliates who never do anything--despite your constant encouragement and offers of support?

I think you must try at least three months to learn your affiliates. After that, if they start to work, if they understand what is SFI and how they need to work, then continue to find other people. If they after 3 months, didn't start to realize at least 1500 VPs, just give up from them and don't loose more energy. They don't deserve more time, 3 months is enough time for someone who understand, someone who want to work, someone who really want to earn money. Continue with your activities and look for other people who wants to work this business.
