Any affiliate should plan on at least a budget of $200.00 to get his business off the ground besides the To-Do list done daily. This should be invested in a Standing Order in TCredits to be used in Pricebenders, or S-Builder Co-op to generate PSAs, CSAs to grow the list of affiliates in his team, and/or in IAHBE membership to keep his rank as EA every month. That will have an impact on the growth of his business until he can depend on his sales, affiliates sales, and actions to invest from his revenue.
Other than that, I feel he is not serious about his business.

Concerning the hours per week that one should devote to SFI to become successful will depend on a lot of factors:
1) The goals set by the affiliate considering his education in the SFI model;
2) the time frame he purposes to achieve these goals;
3) The feasibility of the goals in the time frame set;
4) The time used for advertising;
5) The means used for advertising;
6) The investment in $ amount he can afford;
7) The duplication methods used for leverage;
8) How he perceives success for himself;

a) Because some goals are set with an unreasonable audacity, meaning that the affiliate wants at the start to make a million dollars his first month when he has not set his feet well enough in the water. He is not familiar with the SFI model yet and wants to use magic to achieve the goals. He will be complaining soon. The time frame is not appropriate.
b) Advertising takes time, and if the budget does not match the quick success you expect, it is a waste of time. An affiliate should consider his means when setting his goals: time, money, self motivation, education on the SFI business, and devotion. Even if you can start this business for free, you should consider some monetary investment (e.g. S-Builder Co-op)
C) Duplication has to be considered that the effort is multiplied, and time and money should be in the equation. Moreover One’s perception of success cannot be measured by someone else’s perception. For one affiliate $100/month is success, while $5000/month is failure for the other affiliate, according to the way of seeing success and the effort generated to achieve it.
To sum all this, success is measured, even in SFI, by the perception of the one pursuing it, and the effort set to reach it…
…But, if an affiliate follows the SFI model systematically he will achieve some level of success to his satisfaction. It will grow according to his devotion and will follow a pattern based on his perception. There is no pre-set timing per week for success. The more hours the better. An affiliate should devote enough time to his business and be persistent in his pursuit of success. I think he should devote at least five good hours per week at the beginning. If you don't have that time do something still. At the end your castle will be built. It will only takes you more time to build.

I would (1)follow the guide for the new affiliate (To-do list)to gain some VersaPoints right away that help me build my rank as an affiliate.
(2) Start building my team of affiliates right away using the S-Builder Co-op for acquiring CSAs and any social media I am a member of for better promotion of my business through friends, family, and acquaintances.
(3)I would also become a TC member with a Standing Order to become an EA.
(4)I would continue to apply any other method that SFI teaches to continue building my business to reach the level of the Top Affiliates.
