How much information do you send your CSA's, or do you let their sponsor take care of them so they are not overwhelmed?

CSAs and PSAs are often different and needed to be treated differently.

Ninety nine times out of a hundred a PSA will be new to SFI. So they need hand-holding and guidance from the basics.

CSAs come in three groups.

1) Some CSAs will be new and get very little guidance from their sponsor. They should be treated just like your PSAs because they only have you to help them.

First and foremost your success depends upon your mindset.

SFI is a business. Treat it like one. Until you adopt this approach you're never going to develop the other habits necessary to be successful.

SFI is not a hobby. You can't dip in and dip out of it. All successful businesses are created by people with self-discipline - that means doing what you have to do, whether you feel like it or not.

What's more important--the initial contact with a prospect or the follow-up, and why?

The initial contact has to be the most important.

As the old adage goes: "you only get one chance to make a first impression."

So if your initial contact goes badly you might have no chance for a follow-up - in which case it doesn't matter if your follow-up is the best in SFI.

Of course, this does not mean that you can neglect to develop your follow-up approach and skills. On the contrary, it is essential that you do so.
