The biggest mistake to avoid is putting your attempt to make money before offering value and a solution to your affiliates/clients/customers.

When advertising it is important to show them how you can fulfill a need a for them. People can see when you don't have their interests in mind. They can tell when you are putting yourself first and that is not a good way to conduct business.

Always think about them first. What are they looking for? What do they need? How can you help make their lives better? That is where your mind frame needs to be and it will reflect in your advertisements.

I think it is a good idea for a SFI affiliate to have their own website so that they can personalize the experience of our business with current and potential affiliates.

In a website they should include the following items:

1. Capture widget to offer a free report, gift card or other item in return for the name, email, possibly phone number of the inquirer.

2. Simple colors (only 2-3).

3. Informative reports

4. Contests

5. Tripleclick & Auction ads

6. Advertisement for the latest product specials

7. A process to keep it updated regularly.

This might take a little bit of time but a good domain and a personal but informative website could help the SFI affiliate look more professional.

Show them that you are not going to give up during the hard times and that you are relying on them to do the same.

Explain to them that persistence is the key and they will have your support every step of the way.

Be sincere, truthful and compassionate. The people you really want to spend time with well hang in there.

It is very important to understand what they are looking for and what they need and want from a system such as SFI.

For example, some people want:
- part time endeavor in which they can have extra income
- a home based business
- free internet training
- their own business with very low initial cost
- an opportunity to grow personally with more networking
- to sell items online
- to be a part of something exciting and fast growing
- to leave something of value to their children and heirs
- grow a massive and passive income
- to work at their own pace and on their own time
- to make money in a way that is straight forward and honest
- to help others increase their lifestyle for them and their families

I personally joined SFI for many of these reasons. Most of the time it's not about the exact amount of money that can and will be made but about how it will make the person feel. Try to get to know them and understand what will make them feel like they are moving forward and growing.

You can do it if you don't give up and are respectfully persistent.

I recommend being gentle but very helpful and consistent. Explain to them in different ways that they need to look at this business as their own business and every dollar they spend is a small investment in their business.

It is important you do not turn them off where they feel like that is all you want from them. Show them that you are investing in this business yourself and that you are making strides to hit your goals every step of the way.

With a little encouragement and being a good example, the individuals that are serious will realize that investment (time and money) is truly needed to be successful in any business venture.
