The biggest mistake to avoid is putting your attempt to make money before offering value and a solution to your affiliates/clients/customers.

When advertising it is important to show them how you can fulfill a need a for them. People can see when you don't have their interests in mind. They can tell when you are putting yourself first and that is not a good way to conduct business.

Always think about them first. What are they looking for? What do they need? How can you help

What advice would you give to an SFI affiliate who wants to create and maintain their own SFI website?

I think it is a good idea for a SFI affiliate to have their own website so that they can personalize the experience of our business with current and potential affiliates.

In a website they should include the following items:

1. Capture widget to offer a free report, gift card or other item in return for the name, email, possibly phone number of the inquirer.

2. Simple colors (only 2-3).

3. Informative reports

4. Contests

How can you keep your downline from quitting and giving up on SFI?

The most important task is to show them help and support. People want to feel they are a part of something bigger, something that makes sense and has opportunity.

Show them that you are not going to give up during the hard times and that you are relying on them to do the same.

Explain to them that persistence is the key and they will have your support every step of the way.

It is very important to understand what they are looking for and what they need and want from a system such as SFI.

For example, some people want:
- part time endeavor in which they can have extra income
- a home based business
- free internet training
- their own business with very low initial cost
- an opportunity to grow personally with more networking
- to sell items online
- to be a part of something exciting and fast growing
- to leave something

How can we get across to our affiliates that investing minor (at least) amounts of money into SFI is smart?

I recommend being gentle but very helpful and consistent. Explain to them in different ways that they need to look at this business as their own business and every dollar they spend is a small investment in their business.

It is important you do not turn them off where they feel like that is all you want from them. Show them that you are investing in this business yourself and that you are making strides to hit your goals every step of the way.
