Unfortunately there is little you can do to prevent someone from walking away from SFI. The affiliate has to have the desire to succeed, belief that they can, and perseverance to make this business work for them. I, like many other affiliates have gone through the frustration of losing people despite you best efforts to retain them. No matter if you beg, plead or cajole these folks, if their heads and hearts aren't in it (at least at the present time), they won't stay. My remedy for this frustration is:

1) Heal thyself- I have goals of my own I wish to fulfill. There is always ways for me to step up my own game with SFI, and I can work on these skills as I try to build my downline. Maybe I can motivate someone through my efforts where my words have failed.

2) Don't take it personal- There is a myriad of reasons why someone does not reply to my efforts to work with them. Perhaps they have personal problems. They lost internet access. In this 24 hour, instant gratification world, SFI seemed to them a hot idea
yesterday may not appeal to them today. Don't sweat it- the door that let them out swings both ways.

3) Let's part friends- Be nice to those who leave. If they are not part of your downline, they are still a potential customer.

Are there any shortcuts to success in SFI for new affiliates. Well my friend I would have to say we're living the shortcuts. SFI has been in business for 16 years. During the previous fifteen years I'm pretty sure the original founder Gery Carson and the earliest SFI affiliates had no shortcuts to follow. It was through their trial and error experiences, hard work and constant communication and suggestions that our predecessors were able to devise the improved system we have today. We are the benefactors of their experiences. The process is still ongoing.
Maybe one day SFI will start giving out money for just signing up. I hope not. It is just not human nature to appreciate things that are just given to us as much as the things we have to work and strive for.

I have not been active in SFI for a real long time, but what I have found is that by it's very structure SFI is extremely fair. There is no limit on how high in the organization you can reach, or the number of high level positions. It is all merit based. If you have the requirements to make Platinum Level Team Leader, then you're a PTL. You don't have to worry about who likes you or office politics or who deserves or doesn't deserve what. My experience with SFI members showed them to be very helpful and supportive. That's because their success is rooted in success of SFI as a organization, which is due in part to our success, both you and me. No backstabbing, just well wishers.
So to sum it all up, there is room at the top for all who are willing to work to get there. Not only is there room at the top, we can raise the roof. I hope this helps.
