As with any business there has to be a certain amount of flexibility. It is more a point of what you do once you log in rather than just spending time on the site. You may choose to log in and take the opportunity to browse and look at what takes your interest, or a more disciplined approach and have goals and aims as to what you want to achieve when you log in. If you are limited with your time your are prepared to spend time building your business, then your results will be limited. How much time do you want to devote to your financial future?
If you are time limited by circumstances in your life, look to see if thing like sponsoring and advertising to be automated. Add power by setting up standing orders to give your business the good foundation on which you will build on.
Spend the time on your business with a open mind, willingness to lean and the aim to drive it forward every day.

An excellent question, as many who may be new to leadership are unsure and confused.
I started sponsoring within a few days of joining as I was certainly very lost and unsure what to say and if I had anything worthwhile to say.
Firstly be honest open and upfront. Initially you can convey your own enthusiasm and excitement to your new affiliates. "It's the sizzle that sells the sausage"
Start from the premiss of your own experiences and feelings. What initial guidance would have helped you, and put that into a first mailing through your PSA mailer.
Be personable, as you are communicating with people from all over the world they are only going to get to know you via your words. Build relationships with your active affiliates as you will all mutually benefit from each others success.
Don't be afraid to ask your new affiliates to commit take actions like Submit their profile, send the commitment message and upload their photo.
This gets them earning points and making a good start to getting to Executive Affiliate. Movement and progress excites, stagnation will demotivate.
I get good results with this approach and manage to fire up develop and growing number of active affiliates.

I have found that by creating a wide funnel through advertising and personal approach that I will filter down the active committed affiliate that I will work with and help them to become successful.
It has to be kept in mind that out of the many that sign up only a small percentage will really take their SFI business to the next level. If you only have a small number coming through then there could be a tendency to get too caught up with the lack of activity that may be present and get frozen in the development of your own business.
The most important aspect is to have the right welcome message and first initial mailing that will capture the enthusiasm and excitement of a new affiliate. Be bold and plainly display the potential of the business, and state what you are looking for as Leaders that you are going to spend your time helping them to achieve. Keep you eye on the ball and note those who are reacting positively and actively encourage and congratulate them for their efforts(remember many are completely new to this type of business)
In conclusion the number are initially important, but it is what you do when PSAs start to show potential. Pick up on the signals even if they do not communicate with you. Be prepared to be the initiator and guiding light.

Initially buy the most versatile product that give you the best use, and I recommend TCredits. If you don't have the funds to create a standing order every month then do it in smaller chunks throughout the month.
week 1 10 TCredits @ $5.90 = 239 VP + 5 MRP
week 2 10 TCredits @ $5.90 = 239 VP + 5 MRP
week 3 10 TCredits @ $5.90 = 239 VP + 5 MRP

In total for the month that will give you 956 VP + 300 VP for logging in daily 25 VP for completing the ratings and goal at the beginning the month. This will give you an easy to manage way to get most of the points to achieve Executive Affiliate. There is a remaining 219 VP to be made up by actions during the month. Use the 40 TCredits in an auction will get you a further 40 VP Buy 1 TCredit with 126 MRP and 102 VP there remains only 77 VP to make up.
